Fay Butcher has been working with Skyline CAP Head Start since 1996. She currently is the Family Advocate Manager. She works with family advocates in Greene, Madison, Rappahannock, Warren, Shenandoah and Page Counties serving 198 families and children.
Fay attended the University of Maryland University College where she received her education in social work. She completed her Family Development Credentialing through Cornell University in 2010.
Fay is originally from Annapolis, Maryland, but started traveling all over the world when she married a serviceman. When they retired in 1986, they decided to move to Madison, Virginia, where they were fortunate enough to buy her grandparent’s farm. Her husband, Butch, passed away with a service connected disability in 2003.
Fay is the proud mother of two daughters and one son. She has five grandchildren and one great grandson. Fay is very involved with her church Oak Grove United Methodist in Aylor, Virginia. She enjoys traveling, reading, sewing and watching old movies.
